The television news reporter is expected to produce, write, and edit sportscasts and also record and edit national sports highlights. He should be proficient enough to conduct probing, in-depth, and engaging interviews and should possess extensive knowledge of news production techniques.The ideal television news reporter candidate needs a minimum of four years of full-time professional reporting experience as well as two years anchoring experience, as well as knowledge of how to shoot and edit video. The candidate must have a highly effective on-air performance with excellent news judgment.
